A Look Inside the Life of the Author

Alan Dubelman MD is a licensed physician as well as a financial consultant. He earned his degree in Medicine at University of California in Los Angeles in 1974, and subsequently took up residencies at the University of California in San Francisco, Denver General Hospital, and Duke University. Dr. Alan Dubelman specialized primarily in emergency and family medicine in his own private practice.

Alan obtained a Master’s Degree in Finance after enrolling in the MBA program at University of Denver. He earned degrees in both Business and Finance, and had a GPA of 3.98. After working as a teaching assistant for a time, Alan later signed on to a fulltime teaching position at the Department of Finance. He proved to be ideally suited to the demands of the job, based on his exemplary performance as assistant teacher. He has since provided tutoring services for testing and certification in GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, GRE, SAT and ACT.

Medicine has always been one of Alan’s key areas of interest, and during this time, he took the opportunity to instruct ancillary medical workers and doctors on modern resuscitation techniques. He also found the time to manage college admission courses for high school students, as well as tutoring home-schooled students in a variety of subjects that included chemistry, physics, and math.

Even early on in his medical and financial careers, Dr. Alan Dubelman has seemed destined for a position in the academe. He has authored or co-authored well-received papers in both fields, with his work having proven to be crucial in shaping public policy or instructing others in the medical community on crucial developments in certain key areas. His treatise on finger injuries have been especially lauded by the medical community, and his neurological approach to the issue is still considered ground breaking work in medical and scientific circles around the world.
